Meet the Makers

Our Story

Hi, I’m Mindy—dance mom, dancer, part-time studio receptionist, and the hands (and heart) behind this little shop.

This business isn’t new. I started it back in 2009 as a creative outlet and boredom buster, something just for me. Over the years, it’s gone through many iterations: different products, different seasons of life, different reasons for keeping it going. But in 2026, my “why” shifted in the best way.

Now, I’m building this brand to help fund my daughter’s competitive dance journey. We both stepped onto the national stage for the first time ever in the summer of 2026—her as a competitor, me as part of an adult tap group—and we both brought home trophies. She earned her place on the national podium, and my adult tap group took home **First Place – National Champions**. Those moments reminded me how much work, love, and money go into this life we’ve chosen… and how much I wanted to turn that energy into something that could support her dreams and ours.

I’m not just a dance mom on the sidelines, either. I’m a dancer myself, and I work part-time at my daughter’s studio in reception. That means I live in this world: the early mornings and late nights, the last-minute costume fixes, the “do we have bobby pins?” panic, the proud tears in the audience, and the constant juggle of family, work, and dance. Everything I design and make comes from that reality.

My daughter is my partner in this now. We brainstorm together, test ideas, and create so many of our products as a team. She knows what dancers actually need backstage, what feels fun to carry, and what makes a good “just in case” item. That’s why our **Winnie’s Wonderful Wonderland** section exists: it’s all her. Every item in that collection is something she has made herself—a little corner of our shop where her creativity shines and where other dancers can find things that truly feel like they were made by one of their own.

Today, this business is the place where I pour all the fun, functional, and sometimes wildly specific ideas I dream up (and the ones my daughter dreams up, too). It’s how I help pay for costumes, classes, and competition fees—and it’s how I get to share a piece of our dance life with you.

When you buy from us, you’re not just getting a handmade item. You’re supporting:

- A dance mom who’s determined to keep her family’s dance dreams alive
- A dancer daughter who’s learning to turn her creativity into something real
- A small, home-based business that’s been quietly growing since 2009, fueled by love of craft and love of dance

Thank you for being here, for believing in small businesses, and for helping us keep dancing—one kit, one pouch, one handmade item at a time.

P.S. Yes, we’re still celebrating those national titles. 🏆
